Evaluation of therapeutic response in plaque psoriasis in clinical routine is up to date only possible by application of clinical scores like PASI. Data on occurring skin alterations in plaque psoriasis under therapy is limited, histologic follow-up not being an option because of its invasiveness. The monitoring of skin recovery and therapeutic response by non-invasive imaging techniques, like D-OCT and LC-OCT, enables the live observation of specific changes, e.g. epidermal alterations, inflammatory patterns or vessel proliferation, in plaque psoriasis.
